Description

Diesel Power is a virtual reality game with a simple concept. Drive a hover vehicle to the end of the track. The issue: There is no track. The player needs to look for triggers to spawn the road in front of the vehicle. It sounds easy, but the motoric skills required to control the vehicle and actively look for triggers is overwhelming for most in the beginning. As Diesel Power is not designed to "make the player finish by default", the game design leads to an excessisive use of the restart button. Quick reactions are required to stay on a track without checkpoints. Diesel Power embraces classic gameplay mechanics which are tough on their own and in addition VR exclusive features are utilized. Like a drummer, the player's brain is forced to do multiple things at once. Besides skill, a lot of nerves are required to beat your highscore and the track. Skilled players can collect extra points and keep their multiplier running to maximize their highscore while beating the clock.

History

I - Irmas "Mimi" Ibric - graduated in Business Information Science (Diplom) in 2006. After working for over seven years as a business consultant/ project manager in the automotive industry, the time to fulfill a longtime dream came in 2015. All time and energy went into learning new tools like 3ds Max, Blender, Unreal Engine 4, GarageBand, LMMS and many more. Having great interest in many disciplines it was obvious to start developing games as a one man show! Being an 80s kid one principle was set right at the beginning: My games require skill!
